Gayle Prescott Dance School
Dance Styles

Ballet classes follow the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus.

Pre School to Advanced, including the full range of grades from Pre Primary to Grade 8, the Vocational syllabus and the new Repertoire Syllabus.

These levels have been designed to develop a strong dance technique, and offer a range to cover all abilities. The introduction of the new syllabus at all levels is great to allow the dancers to achieve their best.

Our classes encourage the enjoyment of dance and music for all the students.

The Jazz Classes taught are based on the Jazz Dance New Zealand Syllabi.

This is always updated and really develops the strength and technique of the dancers, as well as encouraging performance skills and enjoyment.

The Jazz style includes Jazz, Lyrical and Hip Hop. Different music styles give the dancers plenty of variety to enjoy.

We offer the Ballet Australasia syllabus.
This syllabus this gives the students strong tapping technique and the chance to experience different styles of Tap Dance from traditional to new styles.

Classes from Pre Primary to Advanced give support and encouragement to our students.
